Tuina is a Chinese modality of bodywork/therapy—an ancient art of healing.
It is based on the same principles as TCM/OM—Traditional Chinese Medicine/Oriental Medicine—
utilizing the meridian/channel system, concept of qi, yin/yang theory, & the 5 dynamic elements.
Results may vary from 1 individual to another.
Hi Kin
I wanted to send you a very sincere thank you for the treatment you provided last week. I fought (full contact martial arts) and raced motorcycles for 13 years before injuries put me on the bench. At one point I had broken my collarbone and scapula in an accident and have had recurring problems ever since. Compounded by daily stress, poor posture and lack of physical activity, I often have flair ups of pain that cause my left arm and neck almost complete immobility.
After 12 years of living with this I found that massage therapy has been the one modality that would alleviate the pain and allow for mobility again. This typically consisted of 2-3 sessions lasting an hour and pretty intense pain in the process itself. I have long been open to the potential for new therapies and techniques that may help in hope that something may work better, easier, more quickly in resolving my pain.
After the treatment you provided using the scraping technique, along with the hands on manipulation, I felt immediate relief—to the point where I was mobile again. With two 10 minute follow up massage sessions to the area—I was completely mobile and the pain was gone. I realize that I need to make changes in my lifestyle and self care in order to better manage this particular injury and its repercussions. Knowing that there are alternative therapies that can be used, that are not painful and expedite the healing process, brings great relief to the thought that this may not be a life long issue!

Kin,
Thank you for coming to Redlands for both the workshop and the evening session at UCC. After the evening session you "manipulated" my right index finger which suffers from arthritis, as do the fingers on both hands. Later that evening I notice a distinct lessening of pain which has continued today. I would like to make an appointment to see you about Tuina and general mind/body healing. Please advice how best to do this.
Thank you.

In fact, his knees [which he has complained about pain & discomfort] felt better after being aware of certain techniques during practice; & no hands on manipulation was administered. Remember: you must be present for your own healing.
Also see >>Taiji for his other experience.
Thank you for visiting.
Please check back again soon for more stories!
